Artist Development Classes with Industry Legends
at Legendary Hollywood Locations
The four-week program employing industry legends to coach unsigned and signed artists will concentrate on two categories: “Songwriters” and “Singer/Performers”.
Experts slated to coach the first class every Tuesday evening, beginning November 2nd, will be: Todd Rundgren (Artist/Producer for The Band, XTC, Meatloaf, Cheap Trick); Patrick Leonard (Producer/Songwriter for Madonna, Rod Stewart, Roger Waters); Loren Israel (Former Head of Capitol Records A&R); and, David Stroud (World-renowned DSVS Vocal Coach).
The class “Tips, Techniques, & Feedback From Industry Greats” will provide students with one-on-one evaluations of a song, voice, or performance. Class locations will alternate between the Musician’s Institute and Henson Recording Studios, where hundreds of famous artists have recorded. Both locations are located in Hollywood.
David Stroud: "Think American Idol, but with the benefit of an educational setting. This has nothing to do with judging a performance, but rather, how to refine and develop what you already have. You'll get this advice from people who have succeeded in the industry, and/or those who make the decisions about who makes the cut."
Michele Rundgren: “I have been fortunate to make a living in the music and performance business. These days, there are fewer opportunities for new artists to receive the kind of on-the-job education I did, and I’m honored that my network of successful friends, and my family, want to give their time to help develop new talent. I guarantee it’ll be fun, too!”
The four week-course is $200. Those who sign up for the four-week course are, however, not required to perform. Anyone who wishes to observe single classes may audit them for $65 per class, but will not receive a one-on-one evaluation. Class sizes are limited. |
